Derek DeMars (BA in Biblical Studies, John Brown University; Master of Theology/ThM, Dallas Theological Seminary) — Seminary grad, writer, husband, father, and self-proclaimed armchair theologian. I’ve served as a lay leader in young adult ministry for about seven years, and am currently involved at St. Benedict’s Anglican Church in Rockwall, TX. My wife, Ainslee, and I have a passion for building up the church through discipleship, biblical teaching, and sharing the joy of Christ with those around us. We especially love serving college students and young adults, helping them stay connected and find answers to the tough questions about faith. When we’re not busy with all of that, you can probably find us hanging out with our two boys, Declan & Felix, reading a good book, watching cooking shows, or playing Nintendo games.
Theology Pathfinder is where you can be equipped and encouraged to grow in your faith and understanding of the Bible. Just as a pathfinder scouts ahead and shares with others the way forward, this blog aims to provide resources and devotionals for growing believers, as well as to make the best insights from biblical scholarship accessible to the church.
